Cafeteria Procedures Regarding Students'
Breakfast and Lunch Accounts
Parents are encouraged to put money "On Account" for students in grades K-12. Parents can monitor their child's account balances online through the RLASD website Parent Portal.
Students in grades K-12 are notified when their child's meal balance reaches $5. You may also sign up to receive emails when your child's balance reaches a set limit.
When a negative balance is reached, full price students in K-6 will only be allowed to charge $4.80, full price students 7-12 can charge $5.40 in meals and are not permitted to purchase ala cart items. Reduced price students, K-12, can charge up $0.80. If a student K-6 does not bring in money or a packed lunch, he/she will receive a cheese sandwich, fruit and milk.
Students who continue to have delinquent accounts will be referred to the school principal and counselor, who may personally contact the parent(s) to arrange a meeting to discuss the problem.
