Student Meal Charge Accounts
School Meal Charges and Accounts
The District permits students to incur reasonable charges for school meals. In an effort to ensure the effective operation of the District’s food service program, the District establishes the following procedures for student payment of school meals.
- Payment can be made by parents/guardians by going to https://rlasd.revtrak.net/ and creating an account. Parents/guardians can make a payment, view transactions, and set an auto replenish for the account.
- Payment can also be sent to the school directly in the form of cash or check. If sending a check, make sure the student’s name and ID number are written on the check. Envelopes are provided at all buildings when sending cash or check for payment.
Meal Charge Policy
Only reimbursable meals may be charged and must be in compliance with National School Breakfast/Lunch Program meal requirements. The student’s parent/guardian will still be responsible for the account balances accrued when students charge meals.
No extras including snacks, milk and second lunches may be charged at any grade level when the account is in the negative for any amount.
Collection of Unpaid Meal Charges
Reasonable efforts shall be made by the District to collect unpaid meal charges from the parents/guardians. Efforts taken in the collection shall focus primarily on the parents/guardians responsible for providing funds for meal purchases.
Parents/guardians will be notified of a low or negative balance by a written, emailed, or phone message. Parents/guardians can contact the food service or school cafeteria department to discuss any negative student balance if details are needed. All negative balances accrued will be the responsibility of the parents/guardians.
