When is the first day of school?
 
The first day of school for all students is Thursday, August 22, 2019
 
When will I be able to find out my child's teacher or my child's class schedule?
 
Classroom assignments for elementary schools and schedules for the junior & senior high schools will be posted to Student and Family Access on Skyward at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 7, 2019.

9:00 am - 3:20 pm
9:00 am - 11:40 am (AM Kindergarten) 
12:40 pm - 3:20 pm  (PM Kindergarten)

How do I know what bus my child rides?  When does the bus pick up? drop off?
 
All bus assignments will be emailed on August 8, 2019.  For more information, please visit the Transportation Department webpage.
 
What school supplies does my child need?
 
The Red Lion Area School District provides the necessary consumable supplies (paper, pencils, markers, etc.) for all of our students each year.  Students may, as desired, bring their own personal supplies to school.
 
What immunizations does my child need?
 
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires that children in ALL grades (K-12) need the following Immunizations for attendance:
 
For Attendance in Kindergarten:
4 doses of tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (DTP or DTaP) (one dose on or after the 4th birthday)
4 doses of polio (4th dose on or after 4th birthday and at least 6 months after previous dose given)**
2 doses of measles, mumps, rubella
3 doses of hepatitis B
2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) or evidence of immunity
**A fourth dose is not necessary if the third dose was administered at age 4 years or older and at least 6 months after the previous dose
 
For Attendance in 7th Grade:
1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) by the first day of 7th grade
1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV) by the first day of 7th grade
 
For Attendance in 12th Grade:
1 dose of MCV by the first day of 12th grade. (A second dose is required at age 16 or entry into 12th grade).
 
Any child who does not have complete immunizations must receive the first dose(s) within the first five days of school (Wednesday, August 28, 2019) or provide a medical plan for obtaining the required immunizations, signed by a healthcare provider, within the first five days of school or risk exclusion beginning on Thursday, August 29, 2019..
 
Even if your child is exempt from immunizations, he or she may be excluded from school during an outbreak of vaccine preventable disease.
