All of our special education staff continue to strive to provide Real Learning for Real Life, encouraging our students to work towards their greatest potential.
This year, the first annual Career Leadership Recognition event was held, and many of our hard-working students were recognized for their efforts in work-based learning experiences.
Our senior high life skills support apartment was featured on multiple news outlets during the 2017-2018 school year. The apartment allows for students to practice practical daily living skills while continuing to work on their academic goals: Feature on ABC27
In the spring of 2018, our Lion Grounds Cafe opened for business, serving breakfast and beverages on select mornings to staff and students at the Red Lion Area Senior High School. We had another successful year this year in the Cafe and cannot wait to serve everyone again in the fall!
Multiple transition activities were conducted successfully for exceptional students, including career fairs, a post-secondary facility tour, and more. Our partnership continues with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation so that we can assist our students as they transition to their post-secondary plans.
